Read on to get to know more about Georgia, her working life, and what she cares about most on a personal level.

What’s your name and role at Cummins Mellor?

Georgia Livesey, Recruitment Consultant.

How long have you been here?

Three-and-a-half years.

Have you had any interesting jobs in the past?

Interesting, yes! But I haven’t worked for a company as good as Cummins Mellor before.

What do you like doing outside of work?

Country walks with the dog, meals with my partner, family or friends, binge watching crime programmes or Friends, travelling and seeing new countries, festivals and gigs.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

Everything!

Interesting conversations with candidates every day, the support from my manager and the client we are working with, the fact I can completely be myself.

I’ve never been as content in a role!

What’s one skill you’re working on at the moment?

Management skills - my next goal is to build up a team so this is something I am working on!

What helps you to work at your best?

Keeping super busy - I'd rather be back-to-back in calls than have gaps.

Also, having weekly targets and goals.

I listen to a lot of music whilst I work as well which helps - the taste of music changes daily but it could be anything from Beyonce to country music to dance music!

What have you done for the first time this year?

Bought a house with my partner!

What’s the last thing you watched or read - and loved?

Read: It Ends With Us (Colleen Hoover). Watched: Friends (obvs).

What’s something people might not know about working here?

It is genuinely the only place I have worked where you can truly be yourself.

You are not 'just a number' and you are truly valued and regularly praised for your work.

If you could click your fingers and become an expert in anything, what would you choose?

Either law or criminology - I'd love to be a forensic pathologist or something!

What three words would your friends or colleagues use to describe you?

Funny, outgoing, hardworking (I hope) but I can guarantee my partner Ryan would use three very different words!

Which topic (work-related or otherwise) could you give a presentation on without any preparation?

Friends!!!

If you could swap places with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

Oooh good question!

I guess I would want to swap lives with either Katie (Mellor) or Jack (Mellor) so that I can boss my partner Ryan around for the day - he works for our sister company, Personnel Checks.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Jennifer Aniston or Beyonce - my faves! Ha! I wish.

What’s your favourite food?

A very hard question! I love most food but anything super spicy I love. If I had to choose - probably Indian food!

What are you excited about in your job?

Progressing more and just seeing what else we can do with our client!

What’s a mistake you've made in your career, and what did you learn from it?

We all make mistakes, I can't think of a particular example but whenever I do make a mistake, I own it and learn from it.

The environment here is a safe place if you do make mistakes so you feel like you can own it and go to your manager for support and advice.

What's your favourite way to spend a weekend?

A nice and relaxed Friday evening, a lovely country walk on Saturday with my Ralphie (he's a boxer!), followed by a nice meal out and drinks at night with friends/family/Ryan, my partner.

Then on Sunday, either a nice productive day or a chilled one, it depends!

What’s a work-related achievement you’re really proud of?

The relationship I have built with the client I work directly with and all the candidates I have found for them - we work so well together.
