The latest edition of the recruitment outlook report has landed, featuring recruitment insight from Nov 2020 – Jan 2021.

This month’s edition highlights…

  • Employer confidence in making hiring & investment decisions rises
  • Short & medium term forecast demand for temporary workers was higher than same period last year
  • Short term hiring intentions for permanent staff were higher than same period last year. Medium term sentiment was at the same
  • Despite the pandemic, 38% of private sector hirers and 51% of public sector employers had increased staffing levels in the previous 12 months
  • 2 in 5 employers reported that they had reduced workers’ hours over the previous year. A notable increase on the 12% who reported the same in Nov 2019–Jan 2020
  • Satisfaction with recruitment agencies rose to 75% from 67% in Nov 2019–Jan 2020
