Cummins Mellor is Operating as Normal

We’re working remotely from Wednesday 18th March to prevent the spread of Coronavrius, but don’t worry, it’s business as usual!

In light of the new COVID-19 guidance from the government, we want to let you know that we have a comprehensive plan in place to ensure the highest level of security, resilience and availability.

Being able to respond quickly to rapidly-evolving situations like this pandemic whilst maintaining uninterrupted service is part of our continuity and commitment to our customers.

As a result, we have asked all our employees to work remotely for the foreseeable future as a precaution. We will be keeping our operations running as normal and our consultants will be working from home, which we do on a regular basis. Just ask Richard – he worked in his back bedroom for 3 years when he started the business!

Cummins Mellor will be operating as normal and we will be available from 8.30pm – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Please rest assured that it is business as usual and we will be monitoring emails and will respond to your queries as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, we will send any updates as and when we have them.

Continuity of Cummins Mellor Services

  • Cummins Mellor is aiming to maintain a full service where reasonably practicable and will continue to follow Government guidance which may include our staff working from home
  • We believe our service levels can remain reasonably unaffected in the event that employees need to work remotely 
  • Candidate interviews will take place remotely via phone, Facetime or Skype
  • All candidates who are placed on jobs are being asked to undertake a questionnaire to ensure they are in good health

How Cummins met Mellor & Richard met Michelle

The story of Cummins Mellor Recruitment started in the mid 1950’s. Gordon and Audrey Mellor met Frank and Enid Cummins when they all became founder members of Middleton Round Table and Ladies Circle. Their houses sort of backed on to each other, ours was on Crow Hill South and Nicks on Mainway in Alkrington. This meant a few years later that Nick and I could meet up and play without going out onto the road.

Annual Quiz Raises over £19,880 for Blackburn Youth Zone

The annual BYZ Quiz Quest, held on Thursday 15th Novemver raised £15,170, which will go towards the Youth Zone’s ‘Get a Job’ programme, facilitated by the team at Blackburn Youth Zone. This programme is aimed at supporting young people aged 16 – 24 years, gain the right skills for employment.
