As alumni of Westholme School, Cummins Mellor Director of Commercial Developments Helen Jackson and Recruitment Consultant Amy Hutcheson were invited to join fellow alumni and current year 11 & Sixth Form pupils on Thursday 16th March for their ‘Beyond Westholme’ event.
Alongside the keynote speaker Edwin Booth, the aim of the evening was for the former pupils to share their experiences and have open discussions on what life will be like after Westholme.
The two girls spent the evening talking to the pupils about different routes they can take when leaving school and hints and tips on giving themselves the bet possible start in their careers. The event was held at Ewood Park and brought together current and former students for an evening of inspiring conversation focussing on life skills, opportunities and next steps.
In order to ensure everyone met as many people as possible, our Alumni changed places between courses and were seated at different tables. Helen and Amy had a brilliant evening and loved reconnecting with former classmates and teachers whilst having the opportunity to meet current pupils and pass on their tips for the future.
