So, you got in touch with the Cummins Mellor Recruitment team to help find a new opportunity and fulfil your career ambitions…and we have secured you your perfect role!
But what happens next? Is it the end of our relationship? No.
The team at Cummins Mellor will keep in touch with you before, during and after your placement, whether it be a temporary or permanent role.
Here’s how it goes:
Before You Start
First of all, we will be in regular contact prior to your start date and make sure that you’re fully prepared for your first day. Why? Because we’ve all been there, starting a new job is scary, and it helps to have as much information as possible to arm yourself with before you go in.
That’s why we aim to meet with all of our clients and get a feel for their business. We like to give our candidates the full picture to ensure it’s the perfect match for both our client and our candidate. Having a full idea of what your new placement will be like avoids any surprises when you start and ensures you’re fully prepared to take on your new position.
Once you’re in
Once you have started your role, your consultant will endeavour to call you after your first day and at the end of the week, to make sure you are totally happy and that the role is everything you expected. If that’s not the case, we will be there to help in any way we can.
After this, the regularity of our catch ups depends on whether your assignment is temporary or permanent. I speak to our candidates at least once a fortnight, however, a permanent assignment doesn’t necessarily need to be as regular.
Why do we do this? Surely once we’ve placed a talented candidate in a brilliant local business that’s it? We pride ourselves in our communication with both parties to ensure we are doing our job properly and helping to transform your future.
We take our role as your Consultant very seriously and my job is to ensure all of our temporary workers know that they can come to me with any questions or problems and that they will be handled in a professional manner and the strictest of confidence.
Benefits of Communication
We like to be a listening ear for all of our candidates, we are consultants and advisors at the end of the day. It’s in our job title. We are here as an extra support, both with temporary and permanent placements, to provide inside knowledge and professional advice.
We are also here to relay feedback between all parties and like to know how we have done by regularly obtaining testimonials and questionnaires from our candidates and clients in order to continuously improve the Cummins Mellor Experience.
