Is this the Best Recruiter in the Country??

How many recruiters could continue to place Chefs in the hospitality Industry day in day out over that period?

June Crossley joined Cummins Mellor Recruitment (Then Cooke & Mellor Recruitment) on 11th September 1993.

She came to recruitment relatively late in life following a successful career at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel as a Conference & Banqueting Co-ordinator. At 39 she joined Richard Mellor entering the wonderful world of recruitment in the 4 year old business at their first office in Accrington.

The challenge was to place Interim Chefs across the Industry all around the UK. Embarking on an intensive recruitment training course, with laser focus, determination, energy and passion she set to work doing just that and very quickly built her desk into a significant success.

The department has gone from strength to strength celebrating its 25 year anniversary in February and is now known as Chefs Jobs UK. They now have an office in London and a team of 8 Consultants regularly placing over 200 Chefs a week in the demanding, exciting and ever changing hospitality sector.

A role model indeed, she’s trained, mentored, developed many colleagues over the years, seeing lots of action and changes in both the Hospitality and Recruitment industries, however her unfailing capacity to succeed shows no signs of weakening.

Overall, in her awe inspiring career, we have worked out that June has billed well over £6 million Gross Profit, placed thousands of Chefs in jobs and saving distress to business owners all over the UK who trust her judgement implicitly.

Showing no signs of slowing down, she will finish this financial year generating in excess of £300,000 worth of Gross Profit for the business delivering £100,000 in her final quarter of this financial year, the figures speak for themselves

With a great team around her she has the flexibility to work part time hours, enjoying golf, her family and the well-earned fruits of her labour, always with such enthusiasm, energy and a smile.

One of our Elite Chefs, Keith Grose, said…

“What symbolises June to me, is the phrase, ‘If in doubt ask June ‘cos she sorts things out!’ June is like a doctor who plays golf, finger on the pulse and an eye on the course, well done for the past help. Thank you.”

A valued Client added…

“June is a fabulous member of your team, I have worked with her for numerous years and even with 3 years gap between requiring your services she still remembered me. June is always very positive with everything, even when times are hard she magically finds a way to solve the problem. June is a credit to your company!”

June’s motto is “Always look on the bright side of life”

Here’s what Richard Mellor our MD said about June and why he thinks she is so successful:
“She keeps it simple, keeps control, guiding the customer to the best place for them. She doesn’t waste an ounce of time, can spot an opportunity instantly, she works fast, is calm, measured, competitive but not materialistic, she knows the money follows the hard work you put in. Most importantly she’s stuck at it, built some amazing relationships always putting the customer first – a true, first class recruiter and amazing role model.”

We think you’ll agree, June is a true Superstar – the best recruiter in the country, of that we have no doubt! Here’s to many more successful years at Chefs Jobs UK!
