Recruiters in buoyant mood…

Cummins Mellor recruiters were in buoyant mood at their Annual Presentation held at Clayton Business Park this month. Now in their 20th year of business, the Accrington-based Recruitment Company reflected on a year that was “much better than expected”

Richard Mellor (Managing Director) commented that:
“Difficult decisions had to be made earlier in the year in an effort to cut costs but those measures proved effective and coupled with the 100% commitment of the workforce, the year ended up as one of our most successful yet. The key specialist recruitment departments of Hospitality, Accountancy & Finance and Business Support all performed above target and continued to service existing clients and forge new relationships with local businesses. We have always aimed at building long-term, lasting partnerships with candidates and clients alike, rather than chasing a quick fee. This approach has paid dividends and we thank those loyal clients who have made us their first choice recruiter.
The “Most improved department” was the Personnel Checks section and the company has committed to further expansion and exciting investment in this online CRB Check service. Consultant of the Year was June Crossley who heads up the Temporary Hospitality Division and is responsible for placing relief Chefs across the UK”

Presenting the awards was guest of honour, renowned business consultant, Tim Bullough. Tim complimented the Directors on their open management style and the staff on their enthusiasm and commitment to the success of the business.

The award recipients : “Best Newcomer” Ryan Sidley, Consultant of the Year June Crossley, “Department of the Year” Hospitality and “Going the Extra Mile” Sue Marsden.
