June’s Story

I started with Cummins Mellor in 1993 – I know what you’re thinking – you get less than that for murder!


How did I get here?
To be honest, I stumbled into recruitment all those years ago.

My experience was within the Hospitality Industry having worked for 11 years at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel near Blackburn as the Conference and Banqueting Office Sales Manager. Prior to that I worked as PA to the Marketing Director of a company supplying coin operated equipment to the Licensed Trade.

Richard and Michelle Mellor and I worked together at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel and when I decided it was time for a change Richard offered me a job as a Recruitment Consultant.  In the early years Cummins Mellor was a dedicated Hospitality Recruitment provider.  I started as a Perm Consultant but quickly moved into the temporary market with its huge growth potential.

Today, I run a successful Hospitality Recruitment desk supplying temporary and permanent staff on a nationwide basis.  I manage a team of customer focused, enthusiastic and dedicated staff who all enjoy working within the fast paced environment.

We are 100% focused on providing quick and effective recruitment solutions to all our clients.

What keeps me here?
I love my work – I enjoy solving problems and take great satisfaction from a job well done.  It is hugely rewarding to be able to pass my skills to a team who work hard and have a fantastic positive attitude.
