PA to Operations Director

We are looking to appoint an energetic, organised and motivated PA to support the Operations Director for a Blackburn based business.

The successful applicant will provide support on a day to day basis to the Director; undertaking background research, draft strategic documents and prepare/develop presentations for internal and/or external use.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to have excellent networking, verbal and written communication skills, be highly organised and be able to work as part of a team.  The ability to work without direct supervision is paramount.

As PA to Operations Director your role will include;

  • Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
  • Take notes at meetings and provide general assistance during presentations
  • Ensure actions arising from meetings for the Director are scheduled and undertaken in a timely manner
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments
  • Dealing with incoming email and post, often corresponding on behalf of the Commercial Director
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Organising and ensuring the Director is well prepared for meetings
  • Effectively liaising with external stakeholders and colleagues at all levels

Please note this is not an exhaustive list, and there will be additional duties and responsibilities as per the commercial needs of the business

The PA to Operations Director must;

  • Experience of working to and meeting targets within precise timeframes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and can take own initiative
  • Ability to proof-read and assemble proposals, reports and articles
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to undertake occasional evenings/weekends work
