Cummins Mellor are currently working on behalf of a thriving East Lancashire business with over 40 years’ experience as market leaders.

Due to recent innovations in their internal processes they seek a motivated, affable and commercial Project Manager to enhance their team. The focus of your role will be to reduce turnaround times on delivery, improve processes, manage stakeholder relationships and in-turn demonstrate cost savings and enhanced profits.

Based in vivacious, modern offices, close to local transport links, the successful candidate will benefit from access to a structured training plan and a strong network of management. Whilst based in East Lancashire, the role will involve travel to supplier sites and partner company offices across the North West – a driving license and access to a vehicle is therefore essential.

Whist experience in a similar role would be desirable, those with work experiences demonstrating the personal qualities listed below will be considered.

As a Project Manager your role will include;

  • Managing the delivery of the provision of customised items to clients
  • Producing and analysing reports to monitor the success of customisation
  • Working on bespoke customisation projects with key company stakeholders and suppliers
  • Reducing turnaround times on customised items
  • Agreeing and upholding timescales on customer projects
  • Managing a member of the delivery team, providing support, targets and guidance
  • Liaising with third party suppliers to implement and monitor SLAs
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage relationships and expectations
  • Conducting regular meetings with suppliers to review services
  • Managing logistics and resource allocation (where required) to ensure delivery of projects
  • Project delivery and development monitoring with a focus on managing budgets, time-lines and quality

The ideal Project Manager must;

  • Be commercially and analytically minded
  • Possess excellent verbal and written language skills
  • Demonstrate strong communication and client facing skills
  • Be able to prioritise effectively and manage own time constraints
  • Be a strong, independent worker, able to make autonomous decisions
  • Be willing to travel regularly for work
  • Be accurate and show attention to detail
  • Have strong computer literacy, particularly in the use of Excel
  • Be comfortable working within an open plan office
