We are seeking a committed, inspirational and experienced eCommerce Product Trader to join our rapidly expanding, forward-thinking business.

This role is instrumental in developing and sourcing products, competitive pricing and customer service.

Cleverboxes has over 10 years’ experience in selling online and has an extensive product range encompassing a variety of business sectors including Technology, Home Furnishings, Home Electricals and Garden. Their client base is extensive and work with various high profile clients such as Sheridan, Black & Decker, Samsung, HP, Philips, Sonos and Apple to name just a few.

Due to business growth, Cleverboxes now seeks a commercial, motivated individual who possesses a sound understanding of online market retailing and can deliver exceptional services to our customers.

As an eCommerce Product Trader your role will include;

  • Promoting product ranges and categories maximising revenues and profit across company online channels
  • Ensuring the business is ahead of the trends by continually monitoring competitor ranges, prices and customer experience
  • Having full knowledge of product range and categories; through researching, knowing product features, finding corporate and niche players, pricing, customer experience
  • Maintain and grow revenue and profit – you will be rewarded based on the growth of your category over a predetermined trading period
  • Optimising product categories including search results, product search order, cross-sell / up-sell opportunities
  • Engaging directly with the biggest marketplaces to promote your category
  • Working and communicating with the Data Team to craft inspiring channel specific listings
  • Working with the Marketing Team for promotion and timed events across the Trading Calendar.
  • Stock management; regular reviews of aged stock and underperforming products
  • Reviewing existing offering and trends across multiple marketplaces and implement new creative strategies to grow the categories
  • Utilise existing and other 3rd party software platforms to enhance your category across the marketplaces.
  • Monitor returns and other customer service issues to ensure peak performance for your category
  • Reporting; utilising the in-house software platform and other 3rd party reporting tools, collate regular reports and analytics to illustrate performance and metrics over time
  • Supply chain management; liaise frequently with your existing supply chain ensuring constant commercial success as well as uncovering new opportunities by researching online and attending relevant trade shows

The ideal eCommerce Product Trader must;

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel)
  • Ability to embrace new in-house software platform and other 3rd party platforms
  • Be capable of taking a strategic view of the business
  • You will be a confident, highly motivated and keen to succeed
  • Excellent knowledge of current trends
  • A creative flair and entrepreneurial work style
  • Experience identifying improvements based on consumer feedback to improve customer experience
  • Excellent communication skills able to work effectively cross-functionally understanding priorities and workload of other departments within the business
