Cummins Mellor seek an experienced Head of Sales to join a rapidly expanding, well established, market leading organisation in East Lancashire. Our client specialises in the import and distribution of high-quality products combined with first class customer care and service.

 

Your role will be to lead sales for the organisation; maximising profitability of current and lapsed accounts whilst looking to establish new business relationships. The successful candidate will be driven and committed to motivating the current team in order to increase top line sales for the organisation.

Long term ambitions for this role are to progress to a Directorial level for sales within the business.

As the Head of Sales your role will include;

 

  • Identifying market opportunities and developing plans to capitalise on winning new business contracts in line with the businesses strategic growth plan
  • Leading and inspiring a team of six to achieve sales targets in line with the businesses strategic growth plan
  • Leading the team in monitoring and managing existing accounts to retain and grow business
  • Maximising on sales opportunities within existing or lapsed clients to promote the full range of products available
  • Prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling and generating interest from potential clients with the view to close new business deals
  • Participating in pricing products and negotiating costs as appropriate
  • Monitoring and maximising margin across products and services
  • Arranging meetings with current and prospective clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network
  • Working closely with the marketing team to implement clear, shared strategies to achieve growth
  • Analysing sales statistics and financial information to identify growth opportunities
