Cummins Mellor are working closely with a leading Fire and Security company based in Lancashire to recruit a Fire and Security Sales Manager to join their expanding team.

Fire and Security System Sales Consultant

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 doe

Benefits: Uncapped commission structure. (OTE £40,000 to £45,000)

Specialising in Fire Protection and Security Systems, they are an independent NSI NACOSS approved company. A well-established firm, they have a reputation for delivering outstanding levels of customer service, and offering a technical, consultative service.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, as a System Sales Consultant you will play a key role in the development of business growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing input into implementing sales strategies with the Sales & Marketing Team to ensure sales, profit and margin targets are achieved
  • Provide a consultative service to establish clients’ needs, and design and present the best solution
  • Site visits and meetings with clients, portfolio includes Local Authorities, Housing associations, Retail & Leisure sectors
  • Management of own diary to enable efficient work load to maximise the opportunity of sales activities
  • Consistently achieve budgeted sales targets and margins
  • Produce and communicate weekly activity by way of reports and monthly forecast information relating to targeted activity and opportunities
  • Liaise with all relevant internal departments as necessary
  • Ensure that you are up to date with market knowledge and aware of product ranges and changes in legislation

The Ideal Candidate

  • This is not an exhaustive list of duties, but will provide an overview of your role
  • Will hold a Full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience within the fire protection and security systems sector with face to face client interaction skills
  • Be able to demonstrate a successful sales history and knowledge of the sales process
  • Have strong communications and presentation skills (both written & verbal)
  • Have total commitment to customer service and after sales care
  • Able to design & quote in either or both fire & security systems to comply with current legislation
  • Good time management skills, ensuring that deadlines are met and arranging your own workload
  • Good working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook
