A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in Sales Support in an expanding Blackburn Finance/Brokers business. The role will be to develop business in existing and warm clients, identifying opportunities for further revenue streams. Working with a busy, small, but specialist team who are experts in their field of lending finance.

Cummins Mellor are recruiting a Sales Support Person and Account Manager based in Blackburn for a Salary of £17,000 – £20,000.

As a Sales Support Person your role will include;

  • Identifying sales opportunities from existing customers and business portfolios
  • Introducing returning Customers, and identifying opportunities for Credit Lines to Finance Brokers
  • Building proactive relationships with finance brokers, to ensure that sales leads and opportunities can be maximised, within agreed risk and asset parameters
  • Discussing new business opportunities with Customers and Finance Brokers from Early Settlement inbound (e-mail and telephone) requests
  • Outbound calls to Finance Brokers to advise of new business potential following Customer conversations
  • Following identification of sales opportunity, refer Customer, Asset Details, and preferred Repayment, working with Senior Manager, Asset Finance, and Credit Underwriters
  • Following up identified new business opportunities with Finance Brokers and Customers on a regular and pro-active basis
  • Responsibility for working with Senior Manager, Asset Finance, to build, maintain, up-date call management, and diary system for regular calling programmers
  • Working with Senior Manager, Asset Finance, build and manage agreed Customer Retention Strategy programmers, through outbound calling
  • Performing and conducting broker reviews, by telephone, with a select number of finance brokers; documenting performance and reviewing updates in writing
  • Responsible for ensuring Broker reviews, and the subsequent documentation thereof are completed in a timely and accurate manner, from a risk and compliance perspective, and where new Brokers are established all supporting information is held to ensure new business be written

The Sales Support Person must;

  • Previous and relevant asset finance experience in an internal sales / outbound telephony environment is preferred, however not essential
  • Be willing to undergo ongoing training in Money Laundering and Data Protection as they are industry requirements
  • Have proven ability in identifying sales opportunities and demonstrating effective relationship management skills with Third Party Introducers
  • Be able to fact find, perform due diligence and analysis
  • Be able to manage their own time, prioritise and use their own initiative
  • Have well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Be able to influence through proactive calling
  • Be goal oriented and target driven
  • Be available to work full time
  • Be committed to upholding the company ethos and dedicated to their high standards
  • Confident working in an open plan office
