We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious marketing professional to join a rapidly expanding, forward-thinking business. Working closely with the business’ visionary Managing Director, your role will be instrumental in developing and executing long-term growth in line with the company’s ambitious expansion strategy.

CJUK are a specialist hospitality recruitment business established for 28 years who have an ambitious growth plan which requires a strategic Head of Marketing & Communications to take ownership for and drive the marketing function of the business.

CJUK has a clear vision to create #ABetterWay for chefs to work in the hospitality industry and the challenge in this role is to communicate this message to 2 audiences – chefs and businesses.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate brand creativity and experience across a breadth of digital channels including social strategy, SEO and CRM. Being part of the senior leadership team you will have the opportunity to shape the marketing strategy and follow through with innovative ideas that promise a strong ROI.

As Head of Marketing and Communications your role will include:

  • Devising a 3 year strategic marketing plan for CJUK which aligns with the overall business plan.
  • Creating processes to ensure the business goals are met for:
    •  Social Media
    • E-marketing
    • Website development
    • SEO
    • PR
  • Working closely with the head of talent and operations to ensure the customer and candidate experience is exceptional at all contact points
  • Working closely with the head of sales and account management to ensure the sales team have marketing collateral which supports their message and sales activity
  • Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns to promote the company and its brands to our target audiences
  • Creating content to compliment the marketing strategy and campaigns
  • Managing events throughout the year to raise the profile of our business and drive engagement
  • Taking responsibility for PR and communications for CJUK and the directors
  • Owning the strategy for attracting candidates to CJUK to ensure the operations team have enough candidates to service their business
  • Responsible for identifying awards and submitting applications
  • Being the internal and external brand champion and ensure everything is delivered within the brand guidelines
  • Managing a marketing assistant ensuring all social media posts comply with company standard and guidelines

 The ideal Head of Marketing and Communications candidate must:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a marketing team in a large business/marketing agency
  • Ability to deliver an effective marketing strategy in a timely manner and within budget
  • Have sound knowledge of digital marketing and SEO, with experience of creating and running social campaigns
  • Have thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications, WordPress and Google Analytics
  • Be looking for a role with full autonomy and will be self-managing
  • Be committed, enthusiastic and tenacious with strong commercial awareness

The successful Head of Marketing and Communications candidate will benefit from:

  • A basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with an opportunity for a bonus scheme
