The Cummins Mellor Group have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing national Chef recruitment division, CJUK.

CJUK are specialists in recruiting within the hospitality sector and have been established for 27 years. We are passionate about providing exceptional service to both our clients and candidates and work in partnership with them to navigate the challenging period the industry faces given the current skills shortages.

What will the role involve?

  • Attracting and recruiting chefs and FOH managers to join the CJUK team and register with us
  • Building relationships with potential candidates and selling the benefits of working for CJUK
  • Understanding the challenges facing chefs in the current market and selling solutions by working for CJUK
  • Interviewing candidates face to face and over the phone and making suitability decisions
  • Forming relationships with candidates to ensure their job satisfaction
  • Suggesting and ‘selling’ available candidates to the Account Managers
  • Working within a team to execute the CJUK attraction, recruitment and retention strategy

What type of person would be successful in the role?

  • A ‘people person’ who likes forming relationships both on the phone and face to face
  • A driven person who is competitive and is highly motivated to succeed
  • Someone who is passionate about recruitment but doesn’t necessarily want the pressure of a monetary target
  • You are resilient and can deal with rejection
  • A passion for the hospitality industry would be desirable

What else do I need to know?

  • This role is based in Accrington but we are moving to state of the art offices in Blackburn in the next few months
  • There is a HUGE opportunity for progression in this role so we are looking for someone who is ambitious
  • Remuneration will be based on experience so we would encourage you to apply and we are open to discussions around earning potential
