Personnel Checks are looking for a Business Development Executive working full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development & Sales Executive to take on a permanent role within a thriving national business. This is a full time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Personnel Checks is a top 50 registered umbrella body for the DBS and complete criminal disclosures for individuals and businesses across the UK. We now seek additional driven and motivated people to join our sales team to maximise our visibility within the marketplace. Your role will be to sell our advanced systems, bespoke packages and our high quality service.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a sales environment, will have a polite and friendly telephone manner and the ability to build rapport with existing & prospective customers. They must also demonstrate the skills to promote, sell and forward the company brand.

You will be working with various resources that will provide ‘warm leads’ to be converted in to sales opportunities. We can offer you a variety of sources to direct your calls including an extensive list of current, pipeline and former customers. You will be working alongside a highly skilled and knowledgeable consultant who will assist you and develop your knowledge of this unique market place. Full training of the DBS sector will be provided.

As a BD & Sales Executive your role will include;

  • Cold calling prospective customers utilising leads, databases and online resources
  • Following up on all leads from the website; contacting visitors and promoting our service
  • Managing client relationships to maximize business and margin as well as minimizing the opportunities for competitor penetration
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Negotiating rates in line with pricing policy to maximize margin and optimise revenue from clients
  • Recording information accurately and consistently on our in-house CRM system
  • Identifying market opportunities and developing plans to capitalise on them
  • Responding to, and follow up on, sales enquiries and leads by telephone, email, post and potentially with face-to-face meetings
  • Working with current and lapsed clients to generate return business and increase levels of usage

The ideal BD & Sales Executive must;

  • Have experience working in a sales environment
  • Be driven by targets and winning new business
  • Be committed to upholding the company ethos and dedicated to their high standard
  • Possess strong IT skills
  • Have good verbal and written communicative skills
  • Have strengths in administration and organisational skills
  • Hold a minimum of 5 GCSE Level A-C inc Maths & English
  • Ensure clear communication is maintained with customers at all times
