It is important to stress how busy these sites get, up to 200 covers per service, so candidates must be strong in dealing with big numbers and be sure they can hit the ground running.

We are looking to recruit an Interim Roving Chef for an exceptionally busy 4* and 5* Hotel Group.

Previous CJUK Interim chefs have said that this group is brilliant to work for. The staff in all sites are helpful and our chefs have been able to make some real friends whilst working with them.

This impressive Hotel Group endeavours to use the freshest ingredients wherever possible and the menus are hosts to lots of traditional British dishes. It is important to stress how busy these sites get, up to 200 covers per service, so candidates must be strong in dealing with big numbers and be sure they can hit the ground running.

Once you have got your foot in the door with this Hotel Group you will move from site to site, whenever there is a need for help in the kitchen.

As an Interim Roving Chef your role may include;

  • Preparing fresh ingredients
  • Following guidance from the Head Chef / Sous
  • Demonstrate strict health and hygiene levels
  • Capable and flexible to adapt to a variety of differing menus
  • Moving between various sections as needed by the team
  • Up to 200 covers per service

The ideal Interim Roving Chef must;

  • Have at least two years’ experience working within a Chef de Partie role
  • Have experience in similar establishments
  • Be able to remain professional in a busy environment

  • Be able to cope with high volumes of food in busy environment
  • Be able to multi-task and adapt to the current needs of the kitchen prior to and during service
  • Excellent use of cooking methods
  • Great knowledge of ingredients
  • You must have your own chefs whites, knives and shoes
