Description:

Cummins Mellor are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager who has solid communication skills, who will drive sales, take charge of the all marketing of the venue, and has a passion for hospitality that will inspire their teams’ performance ensuring the delivery of high standards.

As a Sales and Marketing Manager your role will include;

  • Creation and execution of the annual marketing strategy;
  • Develop printed promotional material including brochures, fliers, special offers, posters, tent cards;
  • Manage online marketing & brand website through content development and continually driving customers direct to this sale channel in conjunction with co-ordinator & revenue team;
  • To work within and understand the importance of the hotel’s annual budget and that amount allocated to your department including payroll;
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity;
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives;
  • Co-ordinating activities within the department so objectives are achieved;
  • Building relationships with business and local communities online, phone and face to face;
  • Ensuring all online directories are current and promoting the business;
  • Monitoring the hotel’s website and making changes where appropriate;
  • Visiting local businesses and community organisations & networking events;
  • Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity.

 

The ideal Sales and Marketing Manager must;

 

  • A proven track record of being part of team that has delivered growing sales and been able to convert those sales to an optimum profit within a similar business;
  • A sound knowledge of all aspects of online marketing, email marketing, social media, and using them strategically;
  • Skills in preparation and implementation of sales, marketing and business plans;
  • Managing and motivating teams, providing feedback and giving training when needed;
  • A personable approach; face to face, over the phone or through any other communication media;
  • Commitment, energy and enthusiasm;
  • A real passion for service and premium products;
  • Delivery is a massive part of this role being a link for our customers from booking to arrival through to departure and follow on business.
