This prestigious hotel is looking to recruit junior Chefs and Sous Chef (currently Chef de Partie/Commis Chef/Kitchen Assistant); where the Hotel’s Executive Chef is keen to recruit individuals with an eye for detail and a passion.

This Hotel comprises of 145 room boutique rooms with a Bar, Restaurant and Function room; which all offers guests a relaxing place to stay, eat and drink.

The restaurant using locally sourced ingredients that change seasonally and cooked to perfections by the talented chefs, all of whom have a passion for food and presentation.

With the company moving forward and striving to achieve more we are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career path. Ideally, you will have at least 3 years experience in a busy kitchen in a hotel environment.

As a Chef within this Hotel your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Be involved in working across the diverse kitchen which serves, lunch, dinner, breakfast under the direction of the Executive Chef;
  • Assisting the delivery of the menu that is suitable while maintaining the standards of service set out by the Senior Chef;
  • Working on all sections of the kitchen, including pastry;
  • Being flexible in working across banqueting and the grill kitchen;
  • Effective Kitchen management, maintaining a high standard of appearance; cleanliness and safe working practices within the kitchen.

The ideal Chef will:

  • Be knowledgeable good preparations and cooking;
  • Have experience in working on a multi-outlet kitchen operation;
  • Have full awareness of all menus, their recipes, and high standard of food preparation;
  • Support, training members of the kitchen team;
  • Have been a Junior Chef/Commis Chef for a minimum of 2 years with Hotel experience;
  • Have a calm, adaptable and positive nature and can work well under pressure.

  • Salary circa £18,000 – 21,000 (dependent on position, experience and qualification);
  • Share of tips;
  • Meals on duty and uniform is provided;
  • 5/7 days, combination split and straight shifts; 45-50hr week;
