This dynamic, independently owned country pub and restaurant has 14 en-suite Bedrooms, where the kitchen team is continuing to focus on showcasing the best British produce to guests with simple but creative dishes.

With an emphasis on using the locally sourced ingredients; the kitchen team have an evolving menu which boasts various dishes. This is matched with top notch hospitality and offers a relaxed dining experience for all.

The current kitchen brigade is looking to recruit a passionate Chef to complete the team. This position would suit a Chef looking to progress their career and develop their culinary skills and techniques.

As Sous Chef your main duties include:

  • Be involved in working across the diverse kitchen which serves, lunch, dinner, breakfast under the direction of the Head Chef;
  • Working on all sections of the kitchen, including pastry;
  • The ordering of produce, help with stock-take, financials and menu development;
  • Sourcing the freshest, locally sourced produce and working with existing suppliers;
  • Responsibility for the development of junior staff through nurturing and training.

The successful Sous Chef will:

  • Hold at least NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery;
  • Have experience with a similar type of establishment;
  • Able to work flexible hours and work well under pressure;
  • Be professional, meticulous and organised;
  • You will be working in an open kitchen and personal appearance, hygiene and ability to work professionally is vital;
  • Strong communication, leadership skills & people management.

The Benefits:

  • Salary circa of £26000 (dependent on experience and key skills);
