This Country Inn is looking for a Sous Chef to join their existing kitchen brigade on a permanent basis. Set in the heart of the Ribble Valley; it is renowned for its stonework, open fires and oak beamed ceilings.

The Head Chef and his team offer something special and a little different; food is served all day and delivers some of the best produce in the area with an every changing menu using local seasonal ingredients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef with a real desire to be part of something special. You will be joining a highly professional and skilled team within this first class, award winning, food and drink operation.

As a Sous Chef your role will include;

  • This is a hands-on role and you must work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality dishes across the bar, restaurant and functions
  • The ordering of produce, help with stock take, financials and menu development
  • Sourcing the freshest locally sourced produce and working with existing suppliers
  • Responsibility for the development of junior staff through nurturing and training

The ideal Sous Chef will have these essential attributes

  • Have a minimum of 2/3 years work experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable establishment
  • Have ambition and drive to progress your career in a quality expanding pub company
  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability in providing effective leadership in managing
  • Be a team player with a strong work ethic with a professional eye for detail
