This dynamic, independently owned country pub and restaurant has 14 En-Suite Bedrooms, where the kitchen team is continuing to focus on showcasing the best British produce to guests with simple but creative dishes.

With an emphasis on using the locally sourced ingredients; the kitchen team have an evolving menu which boasts various dishes. This is matched with top notch hospitality and offers a relaxed dining experience for all.

The current kitchen brigade is looking to recruit a passionate Chef to complete the team. This position would suit a Chef looking to progress their career and develop their culinary skills and techniques.

As Junior Chef your main duties include:

  • Making sure that mis en plas and equipment are fully prepared before each service;
  • To assist delivering a menu that is suitable for the requirements of the operation while maintaining the standards of service set out by the Head Chef;
  • Fitting in with the existing brigade and working alongside other members of the kitchen team;
  • To be able to produce food to a high standard with strong presentation skills.

 

The successful Junior Chef will:

  • Hold at least NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery
  • Have 2-4 years experience as a Junior Chef in a reputable establishment;
  • Be competent on all sections of the kitchen and have experience in a high end pub dining/restaurant environment;
  • Have ambition and the passion to progress your career in a quality expanding business;
  • Be a team player, have a professional eye for detail with a ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Salary circa of £16000 – £20000 (dependent on experience and key skills);
