This 16th Century Inn is located in Chipping Norton’s market town which boasts the very of British food. With 10 bespoke bedrooms it offers something special whether a private dinner party, corporate event or a family get-a-way.

The kitchen team offer a dynamic menu sourced from high quality local suppliers to give you a true taste of the Cotswolds. The menu offers traditional pub classics as well as light bites, afternoon tea and daily specials.

The successful candidate will develop menus, complete food purchasing specifications and develop recipes to promote a professional, efficient, effective, and customer focused business. Your success will be measured through organisation, leadership ability as well maintaining food costings and GP margins.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef to step into a new position or for current Head Chef who is looking for a new challenge. Our client is looking for a passionate Chef who is a natural leader, who can communicate on all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Overall control of restaurant, private dining and functions;
  • Responsibility for all menus, food purchasing and costing control;
  • Administering and maintaining high standards of Food Safety and Hygiene and cleanliness;
  • Responsibility of controlling food GP, kitchen wages and waste management to maximise efficiency in line with the budget;
  • Maintaining high standards of discipline and conduct whilst keeping excellent inter-departmental relationships

The ideal Head Chef will have:

  • Be an experienced for a minimum of 2/3 years working in a high volume, fast paced kitchen within hotel/restaurants;
  • Have a good financial understanding with the ability to work to budget and cost accurately;
  • Be a natural leader who will be initiative and be comfortable with autonomy over their role;
  • A passion for fresh food, ability to be calm under pressure and maintain the standard.

We are looking for a Chef with the intelligence, intuition and motivation to excel in the role; constantly wanting to better themselves and over deliver.
