Pickles Pubs is a family run business established in 2006. The company has a portfolio of pubs that offers something for everyone, with relaxed informal dining with roaring open fires and traditional British fare. The kitchen team offer something special and a little different; light bites or a full dining experience. Food is served every day and delivers some of the best produce in the area with an every changing menu using local seasonal ingredients.

The company has recently refurbished several of their sites and there is an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef with real desire to be part of something special. There are two Head Chef Vacancies across the company and the successful candidates will be joining a highly professional and skilled team within this award winning, food and drink operation.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Be involved in creating exciting new menus, using your ideas and the best of local produce
  • You will be responsible for a small team of chefs; training, development and leadership
  • Overseeing and developing the organisation of food preparation and production according to demands of the business whilst maintaining company standard
  • Involved with budget planning, forecasting and liaising with suppliers

The Successful Chef will;

  • Be able to work in a small team
  • Be customer focused and be able to work under pressure
  • Work 5/7 days this will include split shifts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Have their own whites, knives and safety shoes

The ideal Head Chef will be:

  • A Head Chef or Strong Sous Chef for a minimum of 2 years with busy fresh produce pub experience
  • Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
  • Passionate, creative, well organised and have a ‘hands on’ approach
  • Be a natural leader who will be initiative and be comfortable with autonomy over their role
