This Hotel takes pride and passion in providing the highest quality food and service; from a variety of delectable fine dining choices including gourmet dinner, lunch or afternoon tea.

There is a Brassiere offering traditional French and British cuisine. The focus is using local sourced produce from the Yorkshire Dales with simple yet refined presentation; whilst the Terrace Bar offers more informal dining for both families and larger parties.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef with real desire to be part of something special. You will be joining a highly professional and skilled team within this first class, award winning, food and drink operation. Successful chefs will be enthusiastic about creating dishes using locally sourced fresh ingredients, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation are developed and maintained along with your colleagues.

As Sous Chef your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Be involved in creating exciting new menus, using your ideas and the best of local produce
  • You will be responsible for a small team of chefs; training, development and leadership
  • Overseeing and developing the organisation of food preparation and production according to demands of the business whilst maintaining company standard
  • Involved with budget planning, forecasting and liaising with suppliers

The ideal Sous Chef will:

  • Be a Head Chef for a minimum of 2 years with restaurant experience
  • Be a Chef that can work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
  • Be creative, knowledgeable, well organised who is hands on and pro-active
  • Be a natural leader who will be initiative and be comfortable with autonomy over their role

As a Sous Chef you can take advantage of the following benefits:

  • A salary of up to £35,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Performance related bonus

  • 5/7 days, combination split and straight shifts
  • 28 days holidays entitlement
