Our client seeks a driven and ambitious Hospitality / Catering professional to work as a Trainer /Assessor for hospitality apprentices across the North West. Someone with experience in training, assessment and employee development is highly desirable although full assessor training will be available for the successful candidate. The successful candidate will have experience in either a Chef / Cook capacity and will be passionate about their industry and will have a vivacious and outgoing personality.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a top quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the Training and Development sector. Our client seek to appoint a Hospitality and Catering Assessor who can visit new and existing employers who are recruiting apprentices/learners. Your role will be to guide and advise learners through the qualifications to ensure that they succeed.

Your role will include travelling to businesses across the North West and liaising with young people, business owners, managers and training professionals on a daily basis. Someone with strong communication skills and a vibrant and engaging personality is essential.

As a Hospitality and Catering Assessor your role will include;

  • Delivering and assessing apprenticeships in Catering & Hospitality
  • Inducting, training, monitoring and assessing students on the apprenticeship programme
  • Engaging learners and employers in work based learning ensuring learners achieve their goals, employment and progress into lifelong learning
  • Visiting employers across the North West
  • Promoting a positive company image and assisting in the promotion of the apprentice programmes provided by the training provider
  • Working at least 40 hours per week
  • Working within a large team of training officers and assessors

The ideal Hospitality and Catering Assessor must;

  • Have a broad working knowledge of the Hospitality and Catering sectors
  • Has worked as a chef or cook within the industry
  • Have extensive experience within the industry and a passion
  • Have a genuine passion for developing individuals and guiding them through the learning process
  • Possess excellent Maths, English and ICT skills
  • Ideally hold an assessor qualification (training will be given to outstanding applicant who do not hold the qualification)
  • Hold a full Driving License
  • Be able to travel to assessment centers and businesses across East Lancashire and the North West
