This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Junior Sous or Sous Chef to join a friendly team in a 2AA rosette establishment in the heart of Mid Wales.

This stunning 35 bedroom hotel and spa offers something special. With a 2 AA rosette restaurant which offers exceptional cuisine, the Head Chef and his team strives to maintain their excellent reputation for the creation of gourmet dishes using only the finest locally sourced ingredients.

This Hotel is the perfect setting for celebratory meals or catering privately for parties up to 30 guests and offers a lunch time menu and afternoon tea.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join this kitchen brigade. Our Head Chef is looking for a passionate Chef who has a fine dining background who is looking for a career and who wants to push for further accolades.

As Sous Chef your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Lead and inspire the brigade to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly at all times
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu compilation and possess an in depth knowledge of the full menu
  • Maintaining the current hotel standards, and building on current Rosette standard, whilst pushing for further accolades.

The ideal Sous Chef will:

  • Have comprehensive experience of working in a similar role for a minimum of 2/3 years, volume and rosette experience is essential
  • Be uncompromising in achieving company standards
  • Be highly motivated with great attention to detail with the ability to work within a team environment
  • Be charge of training employees and creating the schedule to ensure adequate manning for the kitchen
