EXCLUSIVE JOB: We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to work in a 3* Hotel.

This 23 bedroom hotel has a restaurant which uses seasonal, local produce wherever possible. The Head Chef creates modern British cuisine with a Yorkshire twist and the seasonal ingredients give you the very best menu throughout the year.

Based in north Yorkshire, this is a perfect setting for all diners! With the restaurant offering dining at its best and the informal bar serves traditional pub classics. This is a busy spot for locals, weekend breaks as well as functions often doing 2-3 weddings a week in the Summer.

An opportunity has arisen for a passionate Sous Chef to join this kitchen brigade. The kitchen has just been fully refurbished with a separate area to prep for functions and events. This is the perfect opportunity for a Chef to work in a great team environment!

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Running of the kitchen on a day to day basis in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu compilation and possess an in depth knowledge of the full menu.
  • Support the Head Chef to ensure targets are met with labour and food costs.

The ideal Sous Chef will:

  • Be passionate and hard working
  • Have minimum 5 years experience as strong Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Have experience of working with high volume covers
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a close knit team
