This country inn is a ‘destination pub’ situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire and provides a spacious mix of traditional contemporary features.

With a combination of top quality hospitality and 1 AA Rosette dining this country inn is the obvious choice for family dining, corporate dinners, functions and events.

The current kitchen brigade is looking to recruit a passionate Sous Chef to complete the team. This position would suit a Chef looking to progress their career and develop their kitchen management skills.

Main duties include:

  • Assisting the Head Chef and his team in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • This is a hands-on role but it is important that you also have excellent experience in all sections of kitchen and financial management.
  • Motivated, attention to detail with creativity and flair
  • Work closely with the Head Chef – creating and developing menus and specials
  • Experience in managing people with good interpersonal skills

The successful Sous Chef will;

  • Be competent on all sections of the kitchen and have experience in a high end pub dining environment. Rosette experience preferred but not essential
  • Be able to manage themselves
  • Have a relaxed and easy going nature-be able to work well in a small team
  • Have their own transport or be able to commute on a daily basis as this is a live our role

  • Salary is an hourly rate of £10.50 – minimum 40hrs/week (equates to a minimum of £21,000)
