The opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Chef de Partie to join this busy small group. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard working individual, who must be passionate about food.

We operate two properties on the outskirts of Lancaster including a restaurant and bar that is also a popular venue for smaller weddings and evening functions. The Restaurant serves locally sourced, traditional home-cooked food in a relaxed and intimate environment. With elegant décor and exceptional service, they offer a relaxed setting for casual and fine dining, family celebrations and more.

The second property is a very busy, popular and large country inn serving quality meals in a relaxed setting and offers a traditional and varied menu featuring freshly cooked locally sourced food. Across both properties we exclusively use fresh produce including baking all our own cakes and desserts.

A new opportunity has arisen for a competent Senior Chef de Partie to join this company. Working in a small team, you will be able to make your mark with good progression opportunities for the right individuals. Our team have produced award winning chefs who have gained national acclaim and Masterchef appearances!!

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in running the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence ensuring standards are maintained
  • Be involved in creating exciting new menus, using your ideas and the best of local produce
  • Working on all sections of the kitchen including larder and some pastry
  • Preparing dishes to a high standard and in a timely fashion

Ideal candidate will:

  • ‘Hands on’ Chef and capable of working in a small team
  • Have a professional eye for detail, determined and creative
  • Have worked as a Chef de Partie in a similar role
  • Have a great passion for the catering industry
  • Have a great understanding of the seasons and utilise the best ingredients

The Benefits:

  • A salary of up to £22,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Hours are long and hard but are often straight rather than split shifts
  • Live in accommodation maybe available
