Located near Exmoor National Park, this traditional country inn boasts open fires, a beer garden and a separate coach house with six en-suite bedrooms. Having recently been awarded ‘Four Star Gold’ by the AA this vibrant team is moving from strength to strength.

Serving the finest Ales and Beers, the award winning kitchen team use locally sourced produce with all dishes prepare fresh on site. Whilst they are four strong in the kitchen the site is quickly growing with plans to extend to more covers in the restaurant and additional bedrooms. With this is mind they are looking for a passionate, determined Chef de Partie to join the team where you will be part of something special with excellent progression opportunities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cooking food to a 1AA Rosette standard in a busy kitchen
  • Working with the existing kitchen brigade team, working alongside the Head Chef for dinners and functions
  • Working on a section of the kitchen and prepping all the necessary ingredients for your dishesUsing innovative techniques and working with the finest of ingredients
  • To be flexible and approachable in all working conditions to ensure a smooth operation between departments
  • To assist delivering a menu that is suitable for the requirements of the operation while maintaining the standards of service set out by the Head Chef
  • Help create a positive working atmosphere and team working

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will have a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Commis/CDP in a reputable establishment
  • Have ambition and the passion to progress your career
  • Strong work ethic, willing to learn and want to develop culinary skills
  • Passionate, positive with a good attitude
