With an expanding team and company growth the Executive Chef is looking for a passionate Senior Sous Chef to join his kitchen brigade.

Based in the Cotswolds, this fabulous country house is a perfect rural treat for any guest. It is a place to put your feet up – a place where contemporary design meets traditional chic!

It is the center of the gastronomic map with two wonderful dining experiences. The brasserie is all about British classics – essentially pub grub done well and the 2 AA restaurant is fine dining at it’s best.

With an expanding team and company growth the Executive Chef is looking for a passionate Senior Sous Chef to join his kitchen brigade to push the restaurant to new heights! Already at 2 AA Rosette he wants further accolades. This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate Chef to develop their skills and culinary techniques whilst having autonomy on all aspects of the position

Main duties as a Senior Sous Chef include:

  • To assist that maximum morale and productivity is kept up at all times
  • To maintain good working relationships with all other colleagues and motivate the teams around you both in the kitchen and front of house
  • To direct, guide and train all chefs and Kitchen porters in a calm and clear way
  • Be able to monitor stock levels and order food products to ensure that there is sufficient stock for each service
  • Manage all areas of the kitchen and the team
  • Ensure effective stock rotation of all products to avoid unnecessary waste
  • Be able to run the pass at all service times successfully
  • Develop and create new menus and dishes that are suitable for the operation

Essential Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar establishment; having worked as sous chef for a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar establishment
  • Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns
  • Interest and passion for the food industry – creativity and flair
  • Good communication skills, with desire and ability to train other
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Be commercially savvy and have good financial knowledge and understand
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Team player and ability to remain calm under pressure
