Chefs Jobs UK are recruiting for a Relief Operational Meetings and Events Manager to work within a luxury hotel and event venue in Berkshire.

This award winning hotel has over 400 bedrooms and almost 80 meeting rooms and suites. They cater for various functions from conferences to high end weddings and events for up to 600 people.

As Operational Meetings and Events Manager your role will include;

  • Responsibility for planning, organizing and controlling the day to day operation of the events department.
  • Managing a team of up to 75 staff and delegating specific duties and responsibilities accordingly to ensure all rooms at set to client specifics.
  • Boosting morale and motivating staff to provide exceptional customer service throughout the whole client journey.
  • Maintaining a professional presence on the floor at all times.
  • Handling guest queries and complaints and taking appropriate action to ensure total guest satisfaction.

The ideal Relief Operational Meetings and Events Manager must;

  • Have previous experience in a similar Meeting and Events role.
  • Possess a positive attitude and be passionate about the hospitality industry.
  • Have excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Have the ability to remain calm and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Be comfortable leading a large existing team.
  • Display an impeccable, smart personal appearance and have the drive to deliver first class customer service.

Benefits:

  • You will be paid £11ph and paid on a weekly basis.
  • You will work a minimum of 40hours over 5 days and receive a minimum salary of £440pw.
  • Although initially a temporary placement, the group are currently recruiting for the role on a permanent basis so there may be an opportunity of a permanent role for the right candidate.
