Head of Sales

Our client is a global industry leader who are embarking on the next stage of their ambitious growth journey and are looking for an experience Head of Sales to lead their sales teams.

For over 40 years, our client has worked with businesses globally, providing fast and efficient servicing provisions. The purpose of the role is to lead, support and develop the sales team consisting of inbound/phone-based and field-based personnel, covering the UK and over 132 overseas markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales performance, not only achieving targets and KPIs, but also the day to day management of staff, coaching and sales training, contributing to growth strategy development, team culture and process improvement.

As Head of Sales your role will include;

  • Managing a team of account managers, field sales and customer service personnel – coaching, mentoring and leading to create a high performing team
  • Delivering against the agreed performance targets (sales, volume, margin & profit)
  • Designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base
  • Inspiring the team to nurture existing customer relationships and provide accurate and professional sales support in order to increase customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Running the day-to-day operation of the Sales Office including monitoring & maintaining procedures, defining & delivery of KPI’s, resource management and team leadership
  • Generating and analysing commercial data
  • Controlling the budget for the sales office

The Head of Sales will;

  • Be able to demonstrate 5+ years’ experience in leading and managing sales teams
  • Have expertise in inbound sales team management, process improvement and a proven track record based on results
  • Be knowledgeable of telesales, management of field sales and business development
  • Be passionate, driven and have the ability to deliver positive results and identify new business opportunities
  • Have comprehensive people management skills; a motivator, mentor and leader
