The Role

  • Performing repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment including variable speed drives, PLCs, touch screen HMIs and power supplies
  • Diagnose and repair units down to component level
  • Working with and without the aid of schematics
  • Soldering and reworking components (SMD and thru-hole)
  • Creating and following test procedures
  • Using problem solving skills to find a logical approach to testing and fault finding.

The successful Electronics Engineer will:

  • Have good IT skills
  • Be able to demonstrate an analytical approach to fault finding
  • Have good hand soldering skills, using soldering irons and hot air rework stations
  • Have experience with fault finding and repairing to component level essential
  • Be able to demonstrate a minimum 3 years in a similar role repairing industrial or consumer electronic devices
  • Have experience using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Be qualified to at least ONC level or equivalent in electronics / electrical engineering

Preferred candidates will have experience with industrial automation equipment, including HMI’s, PLC’s, AC and DC drives
