Cummins Mellor are working with a leading business based in East Lancashire who are looking for an ongoing, temporary administrator to join their business.

This position calls for someone who is highly organised and confident handling large amounts of administrative work. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Temporary Administrator to work with a well-established company.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, meticulous and hold the ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy. Excellent communication is pivotal within this supporting role, and you will display flexibility and a willingness to assist across all areas of the business.

As an Administrator your role will include;

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via telephone and email
  • Data input using databases/spreadsheets Liaising with various third party providers to check the progress of existing orders
  • Resolving daily administrative tasks, and using a bespoke CRM system to maintain up to date records of activates, appointments and account history
  • Working within a strong administration team supporting sales across the business
  • Diary management and appointment making
  • Working on a range of Excel spreadsheets on a day to day basis
  • Preparing and distributing correspondence
  • Ensuring that the telephone is manned and messages are relayed in a timely manner
  • Vetting inbound calls before transferring to individual departments
  • Welcoming visitors into the premises and handling them appropriately
  • Assisting the with customers order requirements
  • Providing high levels of customer service by offering advice, guidance and assistance to existing clients and potential customers
  • Managing high volumes of orders whilst maintaining accuracy

The ideal Administrator will have;

  • Have a logical and analytical thought process
  • Have the availability to work on a temporary basis and commit on an ongoing basis
  • Enjoy working in a customer driven environment
  • Be well-organised and thorough, particularly under pressure
  • Possess a professional telephone manner
  • Have previous experience in a reception & administration environment
  • Be able to multitask and handle a large workload
  • Have high levels of attention to detail and accuracy

IT Skills;

  • Be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word & Outlook
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Sage would be advantageous
