Our client seeks a target driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to join their rapidly expanding, forward-thinking business.

Working closely with the business’s visionary Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will be instrumental in developing and executing long-term growth in line with the company’s ambitious expansion strategy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in retaining the existing client base, boosting sales within current revenue streams and winning new business – you will also be instrumental in defining and executing an Account Management strategy.

As Business Development Manager you will take full responsibility for DBS Consultancy revenue targets and be accountable for leading and delivering the strategy for the company’s corporate accounts. Both retention and growth should be considered as part of this strategy. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will be driven by service excellence in creating and executing a robust Account Management strategy whilst handling and converting new, high-worth business enquiries.

Ultimately, this role will involve the creation, recruitment and induction of a sales and account management team for the DBS consultancy service, whom you will drive and motivate to achieve revenue targets. The successful candidate will therefore possess natural leadership qualities and the aspiration to inspire and lead a sales team.

As Business Development Manager your role include:

Retention of Existing Clients

  • Working closely with the Head of Operations to create and execute a robust Account Management strategy
  • Achieving company sales targets for DBS services and products through the retention and growth of current accounts
  • Development and execution of a robust Account Management strategy
  • Organising and executing review meetings with top customers
  • Organising and executing service review calls with mid-tier customers
  • Working alongside the Head of Operations to share intelligence in order to improve the customer service journey and revolutionise the service through obtaining feedback
  • Gaining a deep analytical understanding of account usage and trends

Growth in New Business

  • Fielding high worth new business calls and closing sales
  • Developing bespoke DBS, screening and safeguarding solutions for corporate customers
  • Ultimately leading the DBS sales team to ensure that all inbound sales calls are maximised
  • Working closely with the Operations team to ensure a seamless handover and on-boarding of new customers to the service
  • Developing a deep understanding of the DBS marketplace and acting commercially to maximise on growth opportunities
