Our client is looking for a Legal Secretary for a 12 month maternity contract; this blue chip company is offering a great opportunity to work closely with the Board of Directors and have full autonomy over the job role.

The main purpose of the position is to provide support to the Legal group with contract amendments, standard legal documents to ensure that all relevant documents are in place for the legal compliance and limit business risk.

As Legal Secretary your role will include;

  • To ensure correct procedure and filings are undertaken with Company Directors including Annual Returns, Report and Accounts
  • To organise Board and Committee meetings, preparing agendas, board packs, organising and collecting relevant papers require for all meetings
  • Be responsible for contract amendments and making recommendations for changes as appropriate providing standard legal documents to the business to ensure all relevant documents are in place to limit business risk
  • To manage internal distribution agreements – to draft from standard form and recommend specific legal requirements, ensure on-boarding process and ensure that all due diligence check are in place

The ideal Legal Secretary must be;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (all elements)
  • Recognised Paralegal membership would be advantageous
  • Experienced working in a commercial and corporate legal role
  • Self-starter who can initiate their own work schedule
  • Be able to use their judgment to deliver required outcomes
  • Highly organised with high attention to detail and accuracy in producing work
