Our client is looking for HR Advisor to join a professional services to providing comprehensive HR and consultancy service across a number of external customers.

The role facilitates and enables effective people management to our customers. This is a challenging role that offers excellent opportunities to develop. The successful candidate will primarily be based at the Blackburn or Preston Office although will be required to support customers at locations throughout the North West.

As HR Advisor your role will include;

  • Supporting the HR People Team in managing the customer relationship with the Directors within the relevant customers, and liaising with managers and employees to understand and respond to requests for HR professional services
  • Supporting and providing first line advice, guidance and support on all Employee Relations issues including attendance and advising at meetings, hearings and appeals, and the preparation of draft letters and reports in relation to grievance (collective/individual), discipline, employee performance and capability, redundancy, re-organisation and restructuring of services, TUPE, absence management and conditions of service
  • Support and guide other HR Advisors and Managers across the customers to ensure legal compliance and best practice in all Employee Relations, documents, templates
  • Understanding the range of services delivered to our customers and how they can best access these/ we can best support them
  • Educating customers in the application of HR Policy and procedures
  • Respond to requests for service liaising with the appropriate team member to get resolution of customer needs
  • Communicating improvements to service delivery or process to the customer
  • Assisting and advising on policy reviews

The ideal HR Advisor must be;

  • Generalist knowledge of HR and how the function aligns with business objectives and business strategy
  • Able to demonstrate strong back ground in dealing with complex ER issues
  • CIPD to Level 5 or working towards achieving and at least 2 years’ experience in a HR Advisor position
  • Able to drive
  • Mobility to customer sites
  • Motivated to deliver and maintain a positive outlook in dealing with difficult issues
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills,
  • Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and be an effective member of a virtual team
  • Is always discrete and demonstrates high levels of personal integrity and confidentiality
