Cummins Mellor are currently working on behalf of a thriving East Lancashire business with over 40 years’ experience as market leaders. Our innovative client seek a Customer Service Administrator to become part of their driven and vibrant team.

Based in vivacious, modern offices, close to local transport links, the successful candidate will have access to a structured training plan and will be given the opportunity to develop and become an integral part of the team.

The key purpose of the role is to maintain customer relationships, take orders, resolve enquiries and be the first port of call for all customers to the business. The successful candidate will be driven by delivering a first class customer experience and will strive for customer service excellence at all times.

As a Customer Service Administrator your role will include;

  • Managing and shaping excellent customer relationships
  • Accurately processing customer orders and making amendments accordingly
  • Acting upon orders received via phone, email, and through the website
  • Dealing with customer calls, emails and complaints to ensure first class service is maintained
  • Liaising with customers via web chat facilities
  • Establishing and managing new customer accounts
  • Producing correspondence and documents to be sent to customers
  • Maintaining in house databases and spread sheets
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and report to business
  • Resolving invoicing queries & advising customers on overdue invoices
  • Maintaining and arranging stock approvals for customers
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting as required

The ideal Customer Service Administrator must;

  • Possess excellent verbal and written language skills
  • Be comfortable working within an open plan office
  • Be able to prioritise effectively and manage own time constraints
  • Be accurate & show attention to detail
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages Word, Excel and Outlook and with very good communication skills
  • Have previous experienced in a customer service role
