We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join a fast expanding business located in Blackburn. This opportunity offers a fast paced environment and is seeking someone who can confidently deliver client-focused solutions.

My client is within the printing industry with over 40 year’s expertise. They now seek to expand and enhance their current team by employing a dynamic Account Manager. The opportunity arises within a small, intimate office environment. Your customer base will be resellers of the products. You will be expected to take full responsibility for the management and maintenance of existing business relationships whilst also utilising opportunities to develop new business leads.

As an Account Manager your role will include;

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers by providing first class service and support via phone and email
  • Managing the sales process from initial enquiry to delivery of product, this includes pricing, raising quotes and sales order processing
  • Regularly liaising with production on order status, ensuring orders are dispatched within the timescale dedicated and communicating this with the customer throughout the process
  • Responding to quote requests, ensuring to identify the best customer solutions
  • Business Development activities to maximise any potential leads to introduce to new companies
  • Utilising all call opportunities by up-selling other products and services where possible
  • Proactively contacting existing customers via phone and email
  • Managing and acting accordingly with discrepancies with client’s i.e. incorrect items or undelivered goods
  • Completing credit checks on potential orders
  • Organising and sending samples to customers

The ideal Account Manager must;

  • Have previous experience in Account Management or Sales
  • Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Pay attention to detail and be highly accurate
  • Have the ability to present and communicate with people of senior authority
  • Be comfortable working to strict deadlines and working effectively under pressure
  • Be driven by targets and goal orientated
