Cummins Mellor are working on behalf of an award winning, people centric, spirited, family run business whom have been established for over 70 years. They currently seek to appoint an experienced Administrator to work within the Procurement department.

The successful candidate will be expected to take full responsibility in facilitating the buying function with administration and offering a high quality personal service to customers.

As a Procurement Administrator your role will include;

  • Updating and maintaining supplier contract database and summary sheets
  • Updating and issuing contract amendments
  • Generating & providing order numbers
  • Issuing letters & general correspondence to suppliers on behalf of the Buying team
  • Keeping Agreed Account Terms with Suppliers updated
  • Answering the telephone and giving information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals
  • Maintaining and building excellent working relationships with suppliers
  • Working on various computer software in particular Microsoft Excel, completing formulas and maintaining data

The ideal Procurement Administrator must;

  • Experience within a buying department preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience working with administration
  • Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have confidence to work towards strict deadlines
  • Experience in dealing with internal & external clients confidently is essential
  • Have a professional telephone manner
  • Pay attention to detail and be highly accurate
