My client, an award-winning distributer, is looking to expand and enhance their current team by employing a dynamic Account Manager. The opportunity arises within a small, friendly and intimate office environment; offering a bright and modern office setting, you will be expected to take full responsibility for the management and maintenance of existing business relationships.

The ideal candidate will have influence, conviction and a ‘can do attitude’, someone who can confidently deliver client-focused solutions and assuredly manage multiple projects at a time.

As an Account Manager your role will include;

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers by providing first class service and support via phone, email and in face to face meetings
  • Responding to quote requests, ensuring to identify the best customer solutions
  • Up selling and cross selling other products and services where necessary
  • Proactively contacting existing customers via phone, email or face to face and adhering to pre-agreed diary dates
  • Ensuring sufficient and relevant information for each order is passed to sales support and followed up with delivery times
  • Managing and acting accordingly with discrepancies with client’s i.e. incorrect items or undelivered goods
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with suppliers and ensuring product knowledge is up to date in order to best serve customers
  • Providing holiday cover and support to the sales support function as and when required, sourcing products and compiling quotes

The ideal Account Manager must;

  • Have previous experience in Account Management or Customer Service
  • Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • A background within the promotional merchandise industry and advantage
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Be highly motivated and organised
  • Have a professional telephone manner
  • Be expert in problem analysis and solving
  • Pay attention to detail and be highly accurate
