Cummins Mellor are working with a family run finance business, who, due to expansion, are looking for an Account Manager

£22k – £25k Depending on Experience

My client is a family run company, based within easy reach of the motorway network.

They have been established for 30+ years and offer asset finance to businesses. The company has grown significantly over the last 12 months, due to the continued growth of the asset finance portfolio, they now have a requirement for an Account Manager.

The Role

Reporting to the Asset Finance Manager, you would be required to:

  • Coordinate the new business proposals from receipt through to conclusion
  • Build strong relationships with asset finance introducers
  • Perform initial credit assessment
  • Request valuations from 3rd party sources
  • Negotiate and price for new business
  • Produce documentation to complete the asset finance transaction as required
  • Perform credit reviews and research industry/customer-related information for all new proposals
  • Maintain a market leading level of customer service
  • Ensure business proposals are concluded within timeframes
  • Work in accordance with pre-agreed service levels

You will be required to work closely with the Manager Asset Finance and Credit Managers/Underwriters; discuss and satisfy credit, risk and asset conditions with third parties, customers and colleagues.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish working relationships over the telephone and build upon these to increase future business
  • Previous experience within an Account Management role
  • The ability to quickly pick up new systems
  • Enjoy working within a compliance background
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Be flexible and able to work within a team environment, completing other tasks if requested to do so
  • Self-motivation and drive
