Cummins Mellor seek an experienced Customer Service Controller to join a rapidly expanding, people-centric business in the Blackburn area. Our client offers a vibrant and engaging office environment where you will join a successful, dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring you team build and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients and you will be ardent about delivering a quality service to your customers.

Your role will involve establishing, managing and delivering client plans through your team of advisors. Your passions will lie in consistently delivering high quality solutions to your clients to reduce complexity and offer added value to your services.

As a Customer Service Controller your role will include;

  • Managing a team of up to 10 Customer Service Managers
  • Training and providing on going enrichment and support for your team
  • Providing integration of new clients onto the systems
  • Provide a point for 1st level queries and complaints from clients
  • Providing the initial point of contact for clients Customer Service
  • Responsible for ensuing that you team manage briefs for all campaigns and implementing them end to end
  • Reporting post activity evaluation including activation and performance against SLA’s
  • Ensuring all packing projects are completed to deadlines
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the clients stock holding and understand its purpose including cost and selling prices
  • Communicating internally across a range of departments to manage stock holding, quality control and stock queries
  • Carrying out stock adjustments in line with audited results or agreed manual order authorisation processes
  • Assisting in establishing and maintaining internal systems
  • Liaising with internal operations to ensure that order processing and invoicing is carried out in a timely and efficient manner
  • Detailing and preparing quotations for client specific requirements over and above contracted rates

The ideal Customer Service Controller must;

  • Have previous experience managing a team of customer service advisors or account managers within an office environment
  • Be confident within the use of CRM systems
  • Have the ability to communicate and train a team ensuring that you achieve the best from them
  • Be able to motivate a team to adhere to high standards and to meet KPI’s
  • Have previously worked within account management, or a similar role
  • Have a confident and professional telephone manner
  • Be confident working towards targets and deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and co-operate with all company employees, the ability to respond to customer needs and to develop customer relationships
  • Be dynamic and thrive in taking responsibility for a team’s performance with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be focused, proactive, positive, committed & can work well under pressure
  • Be strong at multi-tasking
  • Be fully computer literate
