Working within Chefs Jobs UK, a specialist hospitality recruitment business you will be assisting 2 busy consultants with administration and the resourcing of temporary candidates.

The key purpose of the job is:

  • Supporting the recruitment consultants by sourcing, selecting and maintaining candidate flow for the Chefs Jobs UK Team to ensure there is a pool of ready available temps for a fast efficient and accurate recruitment service to our client’s requests.
  • Providing administrative support to 2 recruitment consultants.

Duties and responsibilities:

Resourcing

  • Plan and implement an effective candidate generation programme to fill current and predicted vacancies for all temporary relief chef assignments utilising all available resources including database, advertising and job boards activity;
  • Recruit and retain candidates and temps in line with agreed company standards and procedures;
  • Deliver appropriately skilled candidates/temps to recruitment consultants ensuring there is a pool of actively available chefs ready to work to fulfil client requests and market to the industry;
  • Arrange and manage the selections, registration and interview process between candidates and clients giving feedback to both, promptly and accurately;
  • Maintain regular contact with all temps and candidates whilst gaining commercial information for business development activity and knowledge of the marketplace.

Administration

  • Maintain the client/candidate database and records in and accurate and timely manner;
  • Ensure that all relevant compliance requirements are fully met;
  • Accurately input to the systems all information relating to contracts, bookings and assignments in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Undertake required credit checking to ensure compliance with company credit checking policy;
  • Assist accounts with all invoicing and collection issues as required;
  • Ensure all candidates are fully referenced checked and full ID requirements are accurate.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and telephone manner;
  • You must be prepared to do a lot of work on the telephone;
  • You must be highly resilient and manage situations calmly when problems arise;
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and numeracy skills are essential.

Previous experience working in the hospitality industry would be desirable but not essential.
