Opportunity arises in an established, family run engineering business in east Lancashire

Cummins Mellor are recruiting a Purchasing Administrator based in the North West.

As a Purchasing Administrator your role will include;

• Operate the Accpac programme to provide full Purchasing support.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.

• Hiring and monitoring of site equipment.

• Place orders for materials, supplies and equipment as instructed achieving the best price and to meet delivery requirements

• Source items for Contract Requisitions by firstly checking our stock and then placing orders if needed.

• Record Purchase Order details on the Goods-In Calendar, monitor and update.

• Chase late or part deliveries and deal with shortages or damaged goods.

• Issue Supplier Questionnaires periodically and keep status records up to date.

• Issue Subcontractor Questionnaires and follow our Approved Subcontractor Procedure.

• Notify our insurers of any additions or deletions to our vehicles policy and keep a record

• Maintain a current library of Supplier brochures.

• Assist the accounts function

• General office work and telephone cover.

• Provide cover for Stock Controller.

• Identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and put your ideas forward.

The ideal candidate must;

• Be education to GCSE level or equivalent

• Have previous experience of purchasing administration

• Have Experience of working in an engineering company

• Have previous experience in Accounts

• Previous experience of Stock Control
