We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller to fill a temporary vacancy in a thriving business in Darwen.

My client is one of the UK’s largest and most successful manufacturers in their field, with over 200 years of knowledge and experience.

A great opportunity has become available for a Temporary Warehouse Controller to join a busy, thriving business. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with an admin field and also working within in warehouse environment. Knowledge of transport procedures desirable but not essential and the usage of using the system SAP is required.

You will oversee all transport functions, reporting to the shift supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the flow of work from the different customer order routes, to the order picking operation. To oversee the management of all relevant transportation documentation to support legal and customer requirements

Temporary Warehouse Controller Duties and Responsibilities:

• Building professional relationships with internal and external customers to achieve a smooth supply chain

• Working with supply chain contractors

• Complying with customer requirements for specific delivery instructions

• Ensure that all relevant documentation has the correct information to represent the shipment

• Provision of information to customers has to be accurate and informative, enabling the customer to understand that a Quality service is been provided

• Comply with internal quality procedures and company attained accreditation

• Be financially aware of waste and ensure recycling is a routine

• Organisation of best fit transport solutions

• Absorbing new systems of work that evolve with the development of SAP

• Supporting of departmental OpEx projects and KPI’s

• Absorbing a culture of continuous improvement, change, and high standards of work performance

• Ensure that all pre-delivery instructions are adhered to with customers and transport providers

• Verbal and written communication to be of a high standard, ensuring customer assurance with our service

• Providing confirmation and paper trails of stock / transport elements

• Computer literate and able to use Microsoft office, Excel and Outlook

This is a great opportunity for a hard working individual who must be flexible to work a shift pattern consisting of:- 2 shift rota on a 9 day fortnight 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10:30pm
