An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development & Sales Executive to take on a permanent role at the Cummins Mellor Group, within our thriving national safeguarding business, Personnel Checks.
Personnel Checks is a registered umbrella body for the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS), assisting organisations nationwide to complete DBS and background screening checks.
This is an exciting period of growth in the business and we’re looking for a driven and motivated sales person to join our team, helping to maximise our visibility within the marketplace. Your role will involve selling our advanced systems, bespoke packages and our high-quality service.

As a Business Development Executive your role will include;
Calling prospective customers utilising leads from our intelligent databases and online resources
Identifying market opportunities and developing plans to capitalise on them
Responding to and following up on sales enquiries and leads by telephone, email and potentially with face-to-face meetings
Working with current and lapsed clients to generate return business and increase levels of usage
Managing client relationships to maximise business and margin by cross and upselling Personnel Checks’ wide range of products and services
Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
Negotiating rates in line with pricing policy to maximise margin and optimise revenue from clients
Recording information accurately and consistently on our CRM system
Conducting sales demos and presentations to businesses across the UK
The successful candidate will have;
High standards and be fully committed to upholding the company ethos and demonstrating our core values
Previous experience within a sales environment
Polite and friendly telephone manner with the ability to build rapport with existing & prospective customers
Have good verbal and written communicative skills including competencies in delivering presentations
Possess strong IT skills and strengths in administration and organisation
Hold a minimum of 5 GCSE Level A-C inc. Maths & English
Ensure clear communication is maintained with customers at all times
